In 2005, Dee and Michael Kirkbride became full time residents of Carolina Beach. We were previously luxury/executive home builders in Northern Virginia and Colorado. At the Beach, we are choosing to focus our attention as visionary developers. To this end, we have recruited a builder partner and remodeler partner, as well as a building design partner. Our real-estate partner, interior design partner and financial partner round out our group at this time.
The bottom line is we are here because our life has "gone to the dogs". We noticed our business in Northern Virginia consumed too much of our time. We didn't enjoy the harsher winters there, and neither did our Maltese Dogs.
Together, we decided to close our business up there and move to the warmer beach here in North Carolina. We found our dogs were smarter than they looked once we stopped long enough to listen to them! They reflected clearly back to us where we all found life to be happier and more fun.
This deep connection to nature, exemplified in our relationships with our fur-faced friends, is the heart of Kirkbride Homes.
